About
Cecilia is a mexican-american illustrator and graphic designer based in Kansas City, Missouri. As an artist, Cecilia approuches art and design as story telling exercises that allow people to connect with one another on various levels. Her culture, interest in art history, and curiosity act as the wellspring for her work which seeks to capture the wonder that lays hidden within everyday life.
Cecilia uses texture in a lot of her work out of a belief that we as people crave the tactile to connect with art and design in the digital age. To keep in touch with the tactile Cecilia enjoys embroidery and bookbinding.
